Page templates are usually cached by reverse proxies. It is therefore recommended to generate content sections which require a higher refresh rate through Ajax calls.
The appliance server thus only generates the page’s dynamic content, and not the whole page.
News websites often use this process as it clearly identifies the sections that need updating quickly (news flashes, weather data, stock prices, sports results, etc.).
